Why Goats?

They are udderly magical!

Goat milk is not only extremely beneficial to your internal health, but it is also extremely beneficially externally.

Fat molecules are an important part of making good soap. Goat milk soap will not dry your skin out like many other soaps. The cream that is present in goat milk helps boost the moisturizing quality of goat milk soaps. Since many people suffer from dry skin, particularly in the winter months, this is an important quality for soap. Goat milk itself is an emollient and creates a moisture barrier to keep it soft, smooth and supple for a longer period of time.

The pH level of the fatty acids found in goat’s milk are very similar to the pH levels found in the human body, making it easy for these beneficial nutrients and moisturizers to be absorbed into the skin, rather than just sitting on top of it.

The milk proteins present possess amazing anti-microbial properties, which help prevent the growth of acne-causing bacteria and destroy the ones already on your skin. Goat milk contains alpha-hydroxy acids, such as lactic acid, which help to gently remove dead skin cells, while hydrating and brightening the skin simultaneously.

Goat milk is also full of vitamins B6 and B12 help with acne issues such as uneven skin, wrinkles, and dryness. It also contains Vitamin C, which helps to reverse DNA damage and to neutralize free radicals. Vitamin D in goat milk is essential for skin cell growth, wound healing, and maintaining a healthy skin barrier. Lastly, goat milk contains selenium, which is a powerful antioxidant that protects against sun exposure.
