Getting to know the ingredients
Activated Charcoal: Absorbs toxins, chemicals and excess oil within and on top of your skin.
Almond Oil: Rich oil high in Vitamin C, good for sensitive skin, easily absorbed without being too heavy.
Aloe: Contains antioxidants and antibacterial properties. The polyphenols have been shown to help inhibit the growth of certain bacteria. It has also been known for its moisturizing effects and also can aid in fighting acne and sunburns.
Apple Cider Vinegar: Helps to tone the skin, flush out toxins, and even improves the skin elasticity. It as also been shown to effectively diminish or get rid of cellulite. Apple Cider Vinegar also balances the pH levels.
Argan Oil: Contains high levels of vitamin C and fatty acids, soothing for all skin types, non greasy, minimize appearance of scars, balances oily skin, and reduces inflammation.
Avocado Oil: Soothes dry skin, softens rough skin, hydrates skin, high in fatty acids, prevent and minimize stretch marks, and naturally contains SPF.
Bentonite Clay: Draws out heavy metals and toxins. Antimicrobial and antiviral. Helps with burns, insect stings and bites, burns.
Black Pepper: Helps increase circulation. Increases the potency and bioavailability of other products. Think of black pepper as a catalyst to increase the healing and beneficial potential of the products paired with it.
Calendula: Super healing, good for sensitive and dry skin. Contains antiseptic properties.
Cardamom: A spicy and fruiting smelling spice that adds a wonderful warm sensation to any product. It is also antibacterial and is used to treat infections.
Carrot powder: Contains beta-carotene which is especially good for healthy skin, nails, and even your eyes if absorbed through your skin.
Castor Oil: Contains ricinoleic acid, a fatty acid that has anti-inflammatory properties. There have been studies done on castor oils topical applications and it has been shown to effectively reduce inflammation and relieve pain. The fatty acids also inhibit bacterial growth and promote the growth of healthy skin cells.
Chamomile: Calming, toning, and anti-inflammatory. It is also known for being a mild pain reliever.
Coconut Oil: Good for dry skin. Also heals rough and dry skin, while soothing inflammation, healing, and treating eczema and dermatitis.
Coffee: Naturally contains caffeine which energizes and actually provides a topical “sensation” that is very cool on the skin.
Diatomaceous Earth: Known for removing heavy metals and its detoxifying properties.
Evening Primrose Oil: Contains omega-6 linoleic acid, gamma linolenic acid, anti-aging, is light and easily absorbed, improves skin elasticity, has anti-inflammatory properties, and increases skin cells’ ability to absorb oxygen. It is also known for penetrating deep into the skin’s multiple layers.
Frankincense: Toning, restorative, antiseptic, anti inflammatory, and reduces the appearance of scars and acne.
Goat Milk: Has a pH close to that of people, making it more easily absorbed through the skin. Fatty acids help keep skin soft and moist. Vitamin A helps improve complexion, acne, and skin health. Lactic acid helps remove dead skin cells and brighten tone.
Grapefruit: Energizing, uplifting, astringent, and known for increasing circulation in the body. It is also a gentle antiseptic.
Green Tea: contains l-theanine, a naturally occuring amino acid. It has been shown to treat anxiety and high blood pressure. It also contains half the caffeine as coffee, so it is still rather energizing and cool on the skin’s surface.
Honey: contains essential vitamins and minerals, as well as has moisturizing properties. Honey is also antibacterial and antimicrobial, making it a perfect cleansing agent in skincare products.
Jojoba Oil: Similar to human sebum, good for dry and mature skin, creates protective layer to retain moisture, easily absorbed, softens hard/dry/rough skin, improves elasticity, reduces fine lines/wrinkles/scars, suitable for all skin types.
Lavender: Known for its relaxing properties. It calms itching and other skin irritations. Also helps treat acne, eczema, and skin conditions without being too harsh for sensitive skin.
Lemon: Known for being acidic and promoting a positive mood. Contains the terpene Limonene, which is known as an organic solvent. It smells fresh and is extremely effective at cleaning.
Lemongrass: Known for its amazing smell, it is also a purifying and toning when used on the skin.
Lye (Sodium Hydroxide): Induces saponification with different fats and oils to create soap.
Macadamia Oil: Protects against weather damage and premature aging. It is non-irritating, good for mature skin, and high in omega-7 palmitoleic acids, which are also found in human sebum.
Neem Oil: An antiseptic that heals infections and dry skin. It also helps with inflammation that is experienced due to symptoms of eczema and psoriasis.
Oats: Gentle, soothing, while also exfoliating. Helps undue damage caused by UV light, reduces itching, and also soothes sunburns.
Olive Oil: Contain fatty acids, vitamin E, keeps skin soft, and creates skin barrier to prevent water loss.
Peppermint: Contains menthol, which is known for its cleaning and stimulating properties. It is also known for relieving pain associated with sore or tired muscles and joints.
Pitaya: More commonly known as dragonfruit. Pitaya is rich in antioxidants, minerals, and vitamins. It also contains enzymes that are known for their healing properties.
Pumpkin: Known for brightening the skin. It is also known as a a natural enzymatic exfoliator that helps smooth the skin's surface.
Rose: Helps to maintain the skin’s natural pH levels. Rose also has anti-inflammatory properties that can help reduce the redness of skin due to irritation. It also helps in combating acne, dermatitis and eczema. Rose also has some astringent like properties which help clean your pores, while also toning your skin.
Rosehip Oil: This oil is nourishing, soothing, and good for dry, mature, and weather damaged skin. It also contains omega 3 & 6 fatty acids, which keep skin supple and reduces fine lines. At the same time it minimizes stretch marks, and the appearance of scars and burns, It also contains vitamin A and trans-retinoic acid which balances the skin’s oils and calms, tones, and increases the effectiveness of sun protection via SPF.
Rosemary: Known as an anti-inflammatory and also contains beneficial antioxidants.
Sea Salt: Salts are another great source of some minerals, but are mostly used as another abrasive agent or “grit” in some of the scrubs that I make.
Tea Tree: Has antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties. It is also known to kill bacteria, viruses, and fungi. As well as healing acne, burns, insect bites, itching and other irritable skin conditions.
Turmeric: Turmeric is probably best known as a natural anti-inflammatory product. Used in Indian and Asian cuisine, this wonderful root has been shown to close wounds due to oxidation, can clear up acne scars, and is also extremely helpful if you have psoriasis or eczema.
Vegetable glycerin: This is one of the best humectants on the market for skincare (next to goat milk). Humectants essentially keep things moist, and this makes for a wonderful moisturizer on your skin and it is also 100% plant based.
Walnut Shells: These are used an an organic and sustainable “grit” or abrasive agent within the different scrubs that I make. Most companies used “micro-beads” which are actually tiny little plastic beads that can never breakdown and usually end up in our waterways and oceans.
Witch Hazel: This is a wonderful astringent, which is known to effectively tighten and close the pores of the skin naturally. These can be combined with other oils to provide the perfect experience and feeling on your skin.
Ylang Ylang: Known for its uplifting, relaxing, and balancing properties. It is especially good at clearing up acne prone skin, while toning and improving skin structure through stimulation on a cellular level.
